Has anyone used the new REGZA series 1080p LCD TV's and confirmed that discrete on and off exist? I have a client interested in a 42LX196 but do not want to order it without varification that they exist (I don't trust the website saying that it does). I assume inputs work with the "video", "1" process as others have.

Appreciate any feedback

I have found the discrete commands to be very reliable for this TV.

The "ON" is 0000 0069 0022 0002 0161 00B1 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0042 0016 0016 0016 0042 0016 0042 0016 0042 0016 0042 0016 0042 0016 0042 0016 0016 0016 0042 0016 0016 0016 0042 0016 0042 0016 0042 0016 0042 0016 0042 0016 0042 0016 0016 0016 0042 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0042 0016 00FB 0161 0058 0016 00B1

The "OFF" is 0000 0069 0022 0002 0161 00B1 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0042 0016 0016 0016 0042 0016 0042 0016 0042 0016 0042 0016 0042 0016 0042 0016 0016 0016 0042 0016 0042 0016 0042 0016 0042 0016 0042 0016 0042 0016 0042 0016 0042 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0042 0016 00FB 0161 0058 0016 00B1

Good Luck!

I tried those codes on a standard 20" Toshiba LCD and had no luck I have not tried them on the Regza yet. But I did get the Toshiba IR code master sheet faxed to me and The Descrete code that they have I would assume are for all Toshiba TV's. So give these a try and if they work and you need the other codes Ill post them for you. I just tested them on a 42" Cinema Plasma and they work great.

Power On:
900A 006D 0000 0001 40BF 7E81

Power Off:
900A 006D 0000 0001 40BF 7F80

hiya,

sorry for the late response to this post, but could you send me (or tell me where to get) that discrete code sheet? I'ev got a toshiba 37WLT58 TV and the most annoying thing about i is the lack of discrete codes 9that I know of), especially for input selection, but also on/off. If I could find working input codes for the TV to put into my harmony 885, it would make things alot easier. currently I have to cycle through about 7 inputs to get from DTV to HDMI1 and it frequently misses a step and ends up an input short.

if you have asuch sheet and could email it to [email protected] I would really appreciate it (of course, I'm not sure how I'd test them, but that challenge can come later :)

cheer

This code works for HDMI 2:

900A 006D 0000 0001 40BF 39C6

Does anyone have any other input codes?

Thanks

Just did a Regza 40" LCD with URC codes out of their database. Rock solid. What control system are you using? URC or RTI should have standard codes in their databases. I used TV/Video + (#) to get to the proper inputs. As far as I am concerned, that is as reliable as a discrete input.
There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions.
