I've just got a new LG LCD and the manual contains a list of r/c button codes plus some discrete codes (can't believe this happens very often!). So I have used my pronto to learn one of the codes from the original remote and used DecodeCCF to look at its details. Having found that the code matches the one listed in the manual I thought it would be fairly straight forward to generate a new one for one of the discrete codes; maybe it is but I can't work out how :-(

The program to use is MakeHex
[Link: john.fine.home.comcast.net]

From the decode you get a protocol name. That should match the name of one of the .irp files in MakeHex.zip (otherwise give more info here and you'll get more specific help).

From the decode you get a device or device.subdevice number. Edit the .irp file and change the device line to your device number (save the edited file).

In file explorer Drag/Drop the icon of the (edited) .irp file onto the icon of makehex.exe
That creates a .hex file.

Open the .hex file and in it find each function based on the numbers you got from the manufacturer.
