Hi all, I was wondering whether anyone would be kind enough to provide a discrete code for the power button of my manhattan plaza st120 sat receiver. The power button code is as folows:

0000 006C 0026 0000 0159 00AD 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0041 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0016 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0041 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0016 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 05FB 0159 0057 0015 0E7C 0159 0057 0015 00AD

Thanks in advance.

That signal is NEC1 protocol, device 8, command 16.

In my collection of CCF files there is no example of a device in which that is the power toggle (making it very unlikely that anyone has yet discovered discrete codes for your device).

There are several SAT devices for which that is the Exit button and one for which it is the Info button. But unless you gave us the wrong button by mistake, that info isn't relevent for your device.

If you want to take the time and risk, you could look for the discrete codes yourself by testing all 256 commands. See [Link: remotecentral.com] for a limited introduction to the question of whether there is risk to such testing.

To do the test, use MakeHex (with NEC1.irp, changing the device to 8) and IrPanels to make a CCF of 256 buttons holding all possible signals, then merge that CCF into your config and test button 16 (If it isn't power toggle, you or I did something wrong that should be resolved before testing other buttons). Then test the rest of the 256 buttons.

wow, never thought it would be so complicated! Unfortunately, i tested again this learned code with my pronto several times and the sat receiver boots up and powers off every time, so i'm pretty sure the code is correct.
I'm very new to this so i don't feel confident messing around with IR signals with MakeHex, but i sure appreciate the time you both took to respond. Thanks guys.
