Jon,
You are right the SAT-A55 responds to a discrete off sent by the system1 button on the AV3000. But, it is not a 109 discrete. I am easily able to program my 2116 for the 109 discrete and have been able to turn off all of my other Sony equipment this way. Also using the system1 button is running some kind of macro. It takes about 6-8 (guessing) seconds to complete and sends about 16 seperate signals as confirmed by the beep as well as the LED display. the first beep turns off my Sony STR-D565 AMP and the second beep also labeled "AMP" in the display turns off my Sony SAT-A55. I just need to somehow learn this second signal in my 2116 and teach it back to my AV3000. Phew!/? I am beginning to think I really should just leave it on. But what conquest is that?
