Most CD Changers are easy to get around anyway because another command serves as an on/off. For example, if you hit play on my Sony the power goes on. Other buttons do this as well.. That being said, you could do the following to mimic discretes:
ON- POWER, PLAY, STOP
OFF - PLAY,DELAY, POWER

Thanks........
A year ago, when I posted the same question, I guess my
firmware was different, because the answer did not work.
Now it does. Not sure why the cable box industry does
not include discrete on/off as a standard feature of their
units. I guess because the consumers do not ultimately
make buying decisions and there is really no competition
between brand units for a single cable company application.
(similar to my question I just posted about cd players.
Why do many companies, including major ones like denon,
etc, still not include even power on/off toggles on their
cd changers?)
