Does anyone know the remote codes for trutech TV/DVD combo. I purchased it at
Target and lost the manual. The company's website and phone # states technical help is not available - terrible brand! I am trying to program the code to use with a direct tv remote but trutech is not on the list. Direct tv was not able to help.

Trutech is a daewoo product. I used the code 10451 also try 11661, 10092, 10672, 10019, or 10623. hope this helps.

Trutech TV support is at www.alcosupport.com - read the manual guys.
However, the Daewoo codes did NOT work on my model PLV1615T bought at Target. So am waiting for response from their support website.

Here's the e-mail I received from alcosupport.com concerning Trutech remote codes.

Unfortunately, we do not have any codes to use our units in
universal/cable/satellite box remote control because our unit is not
compatible with any type of remote control. Our unit will only operate or
response to its own remote control.

I'm in the same boat. I have the Trutech DVD/Cd from Target, and need the 3 digit remote codes for DishNetwork.

For Trutech tv owners try the codes under Goldstar tv brand. Or such other brands as , AOC, Candle, Envision, Kenwood, Nec. In UEI made remotes, its code 0030.

Were you able to locate a new manual? I lost my manual too for a VCR+DVD recorder. If so, where did you find it? Thank you.

So I'm assuming no one ever got their Targe TruTech TV to work with DirecTV? I have tried everything - every code... even went back to Target and exchanged the TV thinking it was just that one... but now I have a 2nd TruTech and still no luck.

So tv code 10030 didn't work in the directv white remote?

I am also looking for a discrete code that will support a trutech 20 inch tv I bought from Target. Does anybody know of any working codes??

Call Star-lite Consumer Electronics at 1(800)321-5976 7am-3pm central time and give
item number for trutech television. (ex. for trutect 13" round tv/dvd combo) the item number is 008010098 which was given to me by target store electronics department sales person. Star-lite will sale the original remote control for $25.00 that includes shipping. They will request a credit card for payment and ship by UPS. I hope this helps everyone that has a trutech television.

Note: There are no other remote controls that will work with a trutech combo television.

alcosupport only has information on trutech vhs and dvd recorders. They do not support the televisions.

I first ran across this thread a few days ago by searching Google and was initially dismayed by the fact that everyone said the Trutech do not work with Universal Remotes. At second glance, this did not make sense so I tried the code search option and I got my trutech to work.. here is my story.

I have a Trutech CRT Television from Target and my Wife lost the remote. Using the Phillips universal remote that I had bought from Best Buy to run my Yamakawa DVD Player, I used the CODE SEARCH function to search for the correct code. It took about three tries to get it right, but now I am able to control my Trutech television with my Phillips universal remote. For those of you that do not know what I am talking about, it is the thin, skinny silver and black one that runs on AAA batteries. I think this is the updated version of it: [Link: bestbuy.com]
