So what your saying is my dvd remote is not programable? Even with a switch to tv from dvd/vcr. With TV buttons to the side with TV +up and -down? When that remote came out of the box with the DVD player? So why have a useless TV settings when they don't ship TVs with the DVD player...?
Ok, So I found the manual. I did manage to get my LP21036-023A JVC DVD remote to work with my Hitachi TV. Had to turn off tv with the original remote. Hold VCR and enter my two digit number which was 10, then hit enter, release vcr. Then press TV Power. Presto.
So what was that about different oem remotes?
