What I need to do is flash the IR emitter 14 times per second for a few seconds (preferably 5 seconds). How would I be able to do this with a pronto code?

14 seperate times?
Are you asking about a macro?
You could set a command to repeat for 14 seconds in the duration...
Need more info on what you have and what you are trying to do.
This should be over in Pronto Forum BTW.

How long a flash each time? And which model Pronto?
The old ones tend to transmit exactly what the Pronto Hex specifies, so your request is probably possible. The NG Prontos translate and limit the Pronto Hex, so I doubt it would work.
Also, what tool do you have to measure what the Pronto is sending if on first try it sends something like what you want but not quite right?
If you can tell what it is doing wrong you have a better chance of tweaking the results.
