I posted this in the HDTV forum, since it involves controlling my HP HDTV, but I think it's more a protocol and format question than TV.

I have a spreadsheet given to me by HP that contains control hex codes, and I've been told that I can use these through the RS232 port of the TV to control it. They're RC-6 codes, and use RC-6 timing according to the sheet. But I have no idea how i take this information and turn it into RS232 serial commands to do the listed things. Can anyone help me figure this out?
