Not pronto hex... Here's a long shot, but can lead to something that someone else may also find interesting. Hey John (Fine) maybe you can give this a look.

From the Windows registry I've picked up a couple of strings that are supposed to represent Power Toggles in both the MCE/RC6 format as well as those from a Samsung MCE remote (that remote decoded as NEC2 but that might just have been the learn). Anyway, these two signals (normal MCE remote and Samsung's) are definitely different.

What I'm trying to figure out is what type of notation or format is being used in the registry keys holding these. Some MS noted I've seen say that they were supposed to be stored in RLE, but I'm not seeing that.

I'll paste the text below with breaks as found on the net (in the registry it's all just one large hex block with no breaks - this makes for more interesting patern analysis though)

Here's the text from the registry I'm trying to figure out (and below will be ProntoHex format of the commands):

If you look at the start of each line of the registry data it looks like the first two bytes may correspond to an address (the values increment).

These registry keys are responsible for setting up the MCE system's IR receiver to wake up the computer on a specific key press. Only this single key will allow the computer to come out of sleep/S2 Standby. If you want to change what remote button wakes the machine, putting some new values into the registry to get sent to the receiver is the way to do it.

Anyone have any ideas?
