Well... Did you get it to work for you?

Unfortunately I could not download the MakeHex program from a link I found in the forums here on the weekend for some reason, so I couldn't try out the codes from the spreadsheet. I will try to download it again today and if I'm successful, I'll try them out tonight.

I posted the ones you should need, try the ones I posted above. If there are others that you need, just let me know and I'll paste them here.

You can learn Makehex after you get your issue resolved! :-)
Why all the fighting and cussing? Can't Dave play nice? We're just here to learn and have fun. It was a harmless jab, laugh and get over it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BTW... S-E-A-R-C-H!!!
or do the work!!!

But I don't have other THX modes - I have an SR8500 and the only code available (from the spreadsheet) is the 16 64 13 which doesn't work :( I do have a working THX toggle code, so does that mean that I'm pretty much stuck to being without a discrete THX on/off?

Try the ones I gave you in post #9 for a start. Let me know what else you may need.

Hmm, it seems to be the link that I tried and it didn't work, but it's ok now. It could've been a disruption in my wireless network at the time. Thanks!

I will. I did try one of them (16.64 13) and it didn't work (no response from the unit whatsoever). I'll give others a shot tonight.

Dennis, you're outside the states. Which Marantz site do you go to?

Asia/Oceania? I would assume this is your receiver?

Well...

It's silver but I don't know if it's any different really. I'll research it a little and see what I can come up with.

Thank you, I really appreciate it. I would be surprised if it was different - I mean, what would be the point of that? Although the ProntoPro's are different between USA and the rest of the world a bit in their frequency range, from what I understand.

Yeah, would be kind of stupid for Marantz to change the equipment from one to the other, but all US stuff is black for the most part, although some of it you can get silver.

Could you email me the document you got from Marantz and I'll dig into the site some more and see what I can come up with. It did say that it is very important to download European versions of the Marantz remotes (Pronto style) so MAYBE for some reason the commands are different. I downloaded the European version of the RC9500 default file and will look into it.

Open The button properties where you want to put this command.

Click on RC5x and Enter in 16 64 13

That should be the code for THX.

When I purchased my SR9600 I went hunting for every code available - I received the official document from Marantz Japan which listed more than the original remote, and on my own I found a few extras that even it didn't have. However, there were no discrete THX codes - but really, since the receiver should remember the audio processing mode(s) on an input-by-input this shouldn't be too much of an issue.

Are you saying that when you're in THX Mode on DVD and you switch to Tuner and set it to Neo:6 Music and then go back to DVD it stays on Neo:6? Because that's decidedly NOT how my current SR9600 and old SR-18EX work - they'll remember whatever mode you were in for each audio input, and for the digital ones they'll remember several modes (depending on the incoming audio source - ie a 2.0 mode and a 5.1-only mode).

My TSU7000 setup contains the end results of my codes search; the SR8500 just supports somewhat fewer than listed.
