The MCE IR transmitter/receiver is NOT a universal device and there have been a number of posts of problems with specific sets of hardware. There are a number of code-sets that will not work at all, and some problems related to the speed of the IR transmission which is set at a particular rate and cannot be changed.

IMOH the sending capabilities of this device are pretty limited (very weak transmitters) and so if you are having problems, it may save you a lot of time to simply get a dedicated IR device such as USBUIRT or IRtrans...

Some NEC displays need a long duration for the On or Off
signal. Just sending the right signal is not enough,
you must send it for a long enough time. I don't recall
which NEC displays have that issue, so I don't know whether
that is your problem.

I have an NEC LT260 projector that requires this long duration for the On and off signal. Do you know how to create this signal? I currently have a Sony RMAV3100 remote, but am willing to buy another remote if I can find one that will solve the issue of being able to power on and off the projector (especially as part of the macros). Thanks.
