We are looking to take on LG as a secondary Plasma line. Aside from wondering if this is a good choice or not, can someone let me know if these products have readily available discrete codes? From the looks of the remote in the OM, I only see a Power button. I am not looking to make my job any harder, thanks!

Excellent! Thanks :)
Do these codes cover all of their Plasma and LCD products? It still bugs me that there are no buttons right on the remote. You never know when a company decides to change their IR codes. I'd hate to start carring the line only to find these hex codes don't work.

Sorry it took so long to reply.
I've been working with these codes for a couple of years now, and they've always worked (including a LCD that I installed in my home last week and a plasma we installed just yesterday). I know what you mean about them changing codes (a la Sony), so who knows what'll happen next week...

All of the LG codes for their TV's are all the same. At least for the last couple years. We always use the codes from the database either in RTI or HTM software.

I have the 42PX4DV and I can't learn ANY of the buttons from the remote. The light on the remote seems to flash repeatedly when you keep the button pressed down. I thought the pronto needed a constant ir signal to learn?

that aren't on the remote. Hello, Sorry to bump this old post, but has someone found the discrete codes for HDMI1 and 2 for LG. Until now, the codes I found only allows to loop switch 1 and 2, not to select for sure the right source

I tried those codes but none of them worked with my LG TV (RP 29FA30)
When I use IRTool to analyse the codes I could learn with the remote I see they all match the device number of these discrete codes.
Is it possible that some TV sets have the discrete commands disabled?

This code gives HDMI on my Pronto with LG LCD, it should work with plasma too

I too have an LG LCD-screen (37LC3R). The C639-code cycles through HDMI1 and HDMI12 so is not really a discrete code unfortunately. The codes CE31 and CC33 that I got out of a spreadsheet called PRONTO ZENITH- LGE GENERIC CCF CODE5.xls don't work.
Are there more codes out there?
