If anyone has the codes to an AVR20 or AVR20MKII I would really appreciate if they could post them here. I have Omniremote and need codes since my learning remote took a dump and the original remote is gone.

Thanks,

MoLe

You can still purchase the original remote from a Harmon Kardon dealer. If not I have a remote that should work and I could sell you the RTI T2 IR file.

MoLe,

Why not buy a One-For-All Remote. I am fairly certain that they have a built in code for the HK and that there are discrete commands for it. Rob Crowe's excellent unofficial OFA website www.hifi-remote.com covers the many undocumented features of the OFA remotes in great detail and how to get into the JP-1 group described below.

As you may know, the JP-1 interface, found in some OFA remotes, allows you to upgrade to devices not in the library or change just about any aspect of the remote with a PC including programming macros.

If your remote can convert Pronto hex then I can generate that or If someone knows how to convert true Protocol, Device, and Commands into a format readable by your remote I can provide those as well.

The OFA code that works for my H/K 25II is 0110. It even has the discrete input codes for CD/AUX/VCR/SAT as numeric keypad keys on the OFA.

Here are the codes that do something from the OFA and there corresponding function for my 25II.

key EFC Function
0 172 CD
1 193 Tuner
2 109 VDP
3 047 VCR1
4 051 VCR2
5 044 TAPE1
6 048 TAPE2
7 115 (nothing?)
8 046 AUX
9 175 PHONO
Vol + 178
Vol - 045
MUTE 177
CH + 188 manual tuning up
CH - 192 manual tuning down
