I'm looking for a discrete OFF code for the Philips plasma model 42PF9630A. I've found a working discrete ON code, which leads me to believe that a discrete OFF would exist. However, none of the codes I've found have worked. Has anyone had any luck with this or similar models?

Thanks

Where did you find this code for Power ON?

I'm also looking for the codes for this TV! Specially for Video 1, Video 2, Video 3, HDMI and Side!

Does anyone know where to find????

I used my All-In-One remote to get the discrete on. Device code 0054 (Philips TV's), code #018 I believe.

The discrete input codes are easy to get. Read through the manual. Towards the end it tells you how to switch the original remote to "Advanced" mode. In this mode, you can press "AV+" followed by a number to go directly to an input. Then you can use the original remote to train your universal.

I'll try that when my remote arrives! I've bought it 2 days ago and i will receve whithin a week!

About the on/off discrete codes, i've found these ones:

[Link: pronto.philips.com]

Have you tried those? Please tell me if they work! I'm still not able to test them!

Hi!

I've tested all of these discretes from pronto website and they work perfectly on this Plasma!

It's for all the inputs, on/off and screen formats!

I just bought a 42PF9630A. The discrete power off does not work and I have tried all downloads from the previously listed websites at Philips. My discrete on code works.

Could someone post their working discrete off code?

Thanks,
Doug

I couldn't get the discrete power off to work either for a 42PF7220A until I upgraded it's software from support.philips.com

I remember encountering a Philips in the field and I believe CH UP turned this one on; therefore CH UP (delay) POWER shut it off.
There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions.
