I'll be replacing my Samsung 160 with an H20 in the next couple of weeks and was wondering if anyone has info on discretes for D*'s new HD box.

Are all the H20 codes the same as the H10 and D10?

Depends. I am sitting here right now working with 3 H20s at the moment. Everything works on 1 of the boxes. Discrete power commands included. The other 2 boxes respong to everything except the discrete power commands. Strange...

Be sure to check that your Firmware is at least 4.33. If not, the discrete commands from the H10 will not work.

Ruben - I just got an H20 and have searched these threads for discretes but acn' find them. can you tell me wher to look?

LAst 2 boxes have taken the descret on. FOr months noe of the 10s or 20 I mesed with took it. SOm Sat guy told me it was a hardware change. Berats me. But now I actually check once again.

just got a reconditioned H20 today as a replacement and Agent Alexs codes dont work either. bummer, since I replaced a toshiba that didnt have codes available either.

Those above didn't work for my H20, but these that I found for the H10 worked for my H20 and my HR20 ....

Does anyone have the discrete power commands for the alternate remote codesets(AUX1, AUX2 on the remote switch rather than DirecTV position)?

Simple EFC discretes for the HR20 and H20 are:

OFF = 006
ON = 014
POWER = 146

EFCs are what codes URC (OneForALL) remotes accept to emit the respective IR control stream. Typically SET then 0 then 0 then 6 will cause the remote to emit the IR code to turn the HR20/H20 OFF. SET then 0 then 1 then 4 will turn them ON.
