I purchased a plasma 50 hdx at an auction without remote control. After I made the connections with vivix PFP controller, I turned on the power on the bottom of plasma flat panel display, but it stays on standby. Is anyone out there to tell me how to turn it on, without remote control or should I buy a remote?

Is the Vivix turned on? There are Pronto and RTI codes for the Vivix that will control it. You could even plug your pc into it via serial and control it. The Runco website has manuals you can download. They have all the 232 commands. They are really simple like "COMPONENT" for component.
