Does anyone know if there are 2 different code sets for a 58" A550 plasma & 32" a450 LCD..
I have these 2 inthe same room.. i applied the codes from the RTI database and it controls both TVs..
Just wondering before i hook up the rp6 and use IR routing..

Jason,
I am currently working a newer model Samsung TV( LN40A550) that I need discretes for. Samsung is giving me the 99-on, 98= off etc.. commands but how is that converted into the hex data. We are currently using RTI remotes. I'm new to the remote arena.
Thanks
Mark

Sorry if this is a naive question, but where can I find the Radio Shack style codes for an LN37A550? I have one of those Radio Shack All-In-One remotes with a "p" button, and want to teach the discrete input and power codes to my learning remote.
Is this thread only about the hex codes?

Mark,
Here's the hex code for Power on that works with my LN46A550: 0000 006D 0000 0022 00AC 00AC 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0689
And power off: 0000 006D 0000 0022 00AC 00AC 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0689

Hi Guys.
I've read all the way up to here and now have everything working almost perfectly.
I have a Samsung LA46M81BDX - all I need is the discrete code for HDMI3.
Can anyone help me?

I have searched and searched but cannot fix this. My samsung ln-t4061 pc discreet code toggles it from PC to last viewed source. I have tried the necx2 codes and the logitech harmony codes and they both do the same thing.
Some earlier posted to same problems. Has anyone been able to fix this yet?

Just wanted to say many HUGE thanks to Jason and tgrugett for their input in this thread!
If you are new (like me!) stop before posting and read the whole thread. It will make sense after you do. :D
Not a big issue for me but I'm curious has anyone found a discrete code for HDMI4 on the newer LCD's?

Jason, Can you suggest the closest match from the data you've posted to try with the HPT5064 or the HPT4254? Thanks.

Never mind all. Took me a while, but I found the reference to plasmas in the thread. I thank you all for the info.

Jason, I tried a couple of your codes for my Samsung LN32A330 LCD TV but some, including codes for HDMI 1 and 2 don't work. Do you have any idea which of your code groups might work for this TV? Thanks
Michael

Is there a CCF available that has all of these anywhere? I'm trying to setup a URC MX-950 for a PN50A550. The discretes for the HDMI inputs are not quite right, it's really a HDMI toggle. Actually I found one that works for HDMI1 (but it was labeled HDMI2, HDMI1 was the toggle) but not HDMI2 or HDMI3. I've read through the thread and realize that I probably need to use the necx2 codes.
I've updated the MX-950 editor software and tried the three sets of discretes that it has in it's database and none work. Part of that is because I'm stuck at the 1.80 IR database version since I don't have the "Live Update" option. In addition that editor software doesn't have the ability to do a direct hex edit but can import from a CCF or a number of other formats.
EDIT -- I got an updated version of the database for my software that had the new codes so I'm okay but it still seems like this thread could use a link to a CCF with these in it for those stuck with editors that don't allow hex.

What a great thread...
I have a Samsung plasma PN58A760, im searching for the code to switch directly to the Aspec setting called "wide fit". I found the 16:9 code on page one of this thread, but none of the other codes listed seem to work to change to wide fit on my plasma. Does anyone have any suggestions.
For 16:9 im using........ Device Code: 7 Function: 228 16:9 0000 006D 0000 0022 00AC 00AC 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0689
