Does anyone have discrete codes for this Sony VCR? I have a Sony RM-AV3000 Universal Remote so the Pronto files I found in searching the archives don't help me. I'm specifically looking for discrete power on/off functions but would appreciate a complete list if anyone has them. The usual search of OFA didn't yield anything helpful.
I have a Radio Shack All-in-One for constructing the discrete codes.

If 113-ON, 109-OFF doesn't work, then your model doesn't have discretes.

The SLVN51 has discretes. They are the sony VCR3 codes. Any discretes for the last 5 years of vcr models should work.

I should have been more clear in my original post. I can do all the usual controls for this unit. What I can't do is specifically get Power On and Power Off to work. 113-ON, 109-OFF don't work; these work for all my other Sony gear so I was suspecting that what edmund said was true. I was hoping there were discrete codes for these functions that someone had come across.

If not, has anyone found a trick to getting the power into a known state? Selecting "Play" works (i.e. it turns the power On regardless of state) but only if there's a tape plugged in. I haven't been able to find any other function that turns the power on.

Have tried searching EFC's, start at 000 through 255. To test an EFC without mapping it to a key, Tap P, SET, or SETUP on the RS/OFA remote, enter 0-0-0, the command won't fire until third digit. Move on to the next.

I tried all 255 codes for On with no luck. Will try all codes for Off but I'm not optimistic.

Someone who had posted codes for a Pronto CCF file for this VCR was kind enough to send me the following. I'm not at all familiar with CCF codes or how to translate these into something my All-in-One or AV3000 could use but does this imply there's actually some way to make it work? As far as I can tell, these strings are identical apart from the 7th entry which is 0018 for On and 0030 for Off. I tried doing the Hex to EFC conversion for 0018 and 0030 and trying those codes bbut that didn't work either.

Here are the ccf files:

On:
0000 0067 0000 000d 0060 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0030 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0018 03d4

Off:
0000 0067 0000 000d 0060 0018 0030 0018 0030 0018 0030 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0018 03d4
