I see in the Pronto discrete code section for Toshiba, there are codes for power on and off. It says it works with newer models like the HX81. Does anyone know if they work for the HX71 models? I'm considering buying a 53HX71, but my dealer doesn't have that exact model on the floor for me to test the codes on.

On the topic of newer Toshibas, I have a T65H80 and one thing that I really need is discrete codes to switch inputs. Via the std remote you can only 'scroll' through inputs. Even though numbers are listed by each input you can't use them.

Anyone know the codes to directly switch to a given input on these models?

Can't you simply set a macro to goto a TV channel then back to the AV input which should start at the the beginning and then simply add the number of 'AV clicks' to get to the deired one.

This is what I do.

Along this thread...I have a 57HX81 and I notices that in switching inputs, you and select input, then the number of the input to get you there. I'm just now doing my first Pronto, and what I planned to do was to set up macros to: [input]+[num 1]=Antenna 1; [input]+[num 4]=DVD (colorstream 1) etc...Just a thought.

I would sure love to hear about any other descrete codes that are out there.

thanks

no comment, that is exactly what I did, works great, you can do the same thing for the theaterwide modes. I have a CCF file for the 42H81 (Im relatively sure it will translate to the HX81 series) that I think is pretty nice if youre interested...

Descrete codes for Toshiba 42H81 posted in descrete codes are exactly the same for on and off and don't seem to work. Please forward codes or CCF file.

Thanks David

The codes posted in the discrete section ( [Link: remotecentral.com] ) are not the same. Take a look at the right most column. On the 4th row down for ON there is a 0016, for OFF there is a 0042. 6th row 6th column is different as well.

Remotely related to the topic, but I'm currently fitting and programming for the installation of a Toshiba Plasma display (TPD-42WP16)

I can find no discrete codes for on/off for this unit. It does however, appear to be a rebadge of the Panasonic Plasma (TH-42PWD4) for which there are discretes codes.

Does anyone know if they are the same codes?

I will try them mid to end week but it would be handy to know before hand.

Cheers.

Craig.

Craig,

I too am getting a Toshiba 42WP16 plasma and wondered whether you had any success in getting the Panasonic codes to work with it.

Cheers

I have A Toshiba TV 36AX60, I need the discrete ON & Off Codes.
I can use Pronto codes but would prefer RTI T2 or Lexicon 700t codes.
I would appreciate any help.

thank you
