Does anyone know how to convert this code into a usable hex (or anything that I can use) format:

40 BF 7E 81

Thank you in advance for any help.

I don't have my data on Toshiba TV's handy. I'm worried that command might be one of the ones that isn't safe to use. Where did you get it?

The information you posted is not suffitient to know for sure how to convert it, but the most likely meaning would make it a command for a Toshiba TV as I guessed above. If you want Toshiba TV commands, download someone's CCF file. You don't need to match the model number. The commands are pretty much all the same across models.

The Pronto Hex for the above command (assuming it's for a Toshiba TV) is:

900A 006D 0001 0000 40BF 7E81

But do you trust the original source? Toshiba TV's are one of the few devices that have seriously unsafe commands.

Now I have that data. Still assuming it's a Toshiba TV, that command matches the discrete On for the Toshiba TN50X81 in this CCF file:

Thanks for the feedback. It is for a Toshiba TV - I was trying to honor the confidentiality agreement by not saying too much. I was hoping that there were discrete power commands for Toshiba'a "older" tube TVs.

Sorry, I should have been clearer about that. The command numbering is pretty much the same across the models that have the command at all. Older models don't have discretes.
