I've tried the discrete codes listed here on the
Sharp LC-45GX6U & my Pronto NG and they work great!!
All inputs function appropriately and like everyone
elso has pointed out, the ON is discrete but the
OFF is really a ON/OFF toggle.

Thanks.

I have the same TV (LC-45GX6U) and I can't get the input codes from the "galileo01" posting to work. I used pronto edit to define a device and a panel upon which I added buttons to which I assigned the specified IR codes. I then opened the saved .ccf file from ProntoEdit in the Universal Editor of the MX-800 software and assigned the ProntoEdit buttons to my buttons. I do this all the time with discreet codes - this time it did not work.

Any ideas or additional insight?

BTW - I really only need the codes for input 5, PC Card, and iLink. I have inputs 1-4 working already.

Thanks a whole lot!

I would like to thank all those who posted discrete codes to this thread. I purchased a LC-26D7U two weeks ago and this thread provided the power and input discretes for it.

lhaag,
I am doing an lc-32d7u and would like to know which power commands worked. Was it the ones listed as Sharp protocol or the one listed as Kaseikyo?

It was the Sharp

id 17 function 74 on
id 17 function 75 off

if you can use a pronto pcf for the TSU7000, it was uploaded to the files area.

Of the commands given for the G4U series - NONE WORK!

This is just a warning to others getting frustrated with this series - the post is NOT CORRECT - it just copied the list for the G4U from another thread that assumed these would be the codes

The only discrete input code for the G4U that I have found to work is the PC Card Input

PC Card
Device Code: 30 Function: 200

Inputs 1-5 and ON/OFF are not applicable.

I am communicating with Sharp to try to get a REAL list of codes, but all they've sent so far are copies of posts from this site from two years ago with codes I've already tried. If anyone else has codes that they can CONFIRM work for the G4U series - please post them

I will update as I receive anymore info from Sharp, I am determined to get the codes working and convince sharp to publish the confirmed codes from the engineers for each series.

g4u
Sharp:1:53 Input1
Sharp:1:54 Input2
Sharp:1:55 Input3
Sharp:1:205 Input4
Sharp:17:74 Power On(only)
Sharp:17:75 Power Off(only)
Sharp:17:76 Input5

Can you or anyone please email me the codes for discrete inputs 1 - 4. I need them for an MX-3000 that right now is doing 15 steps to get to input 2. Thanks very much

So to follow up - it seems that no one in Sharp knows anything about discrete commands...

After a bit more futzing - I have been able to convince the G4U to react correctly to discrete ON/OFF using these commands

Sharp:17:74 Power On(only)
Sharp:17:75 Power Off(only)

Using a Harmony and their awful web interface, for example inability to delete manually recorded IR, to work with these codes is a real pain in the butt - If only I could afford a pronto :-(

My Harmony remote and web site worked perfectlly with all the codes for a LC-45GX6U. The only quirk is that the "Power On" command seems to have some special properties and requires several repeats whereas all the others don't care. I guess it is some sort of "safety" feature.

Have you gotten ahold of any discreet codes for the LC37G4U yet? I specifically need Video 1,2,3,4 for a client's MX-850. I can, of course, convert from ccf.

After trying countless sets of Sharp codes, I did find a true discreet ON and a true discreet OFF. I do have a discreet video 5 that works.

Thank you

Ira

Hello avdconsultants-
just curious if you got your Inputs 1-5 working? I have the same model Sharp LCD as you and having trouble finding the discrete codes.
Any help at all would be most appreciated

I've got a 37G4U, and yes only video 5 is available as discreet.

What I'm trying to do now is program a macro to set to video 5 and then cycle a fixed number of times to get to the right input. I can do the sequence manually, but via the remote, even with a large delay between steps, the fixed cycles go way off. I've tried both using "input" a fixed number of times as well as using "input" followed by a fixed number of up or down arrows.

It's really weird that I can do it by hand (with my eyes closed), yet the macros don't work. I do have an MX-800, but I'm trying to set the macro in my Sony RM-VL900.

Any further ideas?
