It just works! Thanx again johnsfine.
Did you try just MakeHex, or did you also look at that CCF file I suggested?
...but what's function 149 for? Nothing happens.
All I know about function 149 is that it is labeled "deck1/2" in the decode output from that CCF. I didn't even look at the graphics in the CCF to see if that provides more info.
I could obviously make a guess about what "deck1/2" means. But since I don't own any similar device and you do, I expect your guess would be better than mine.
Anyway it sounds like a function that model has and your model doesn't.
Are there any code for on? ...and off? Descrete
please.
The third file I had downloaded using Panasonic:160.8 is
[Link: remotecentral.com]It has some of the commands mentioned earlier in this thread and also has function 1 for eject and function 61 for power. You should check what those do for your device.
For discrete on, you should see what commands such as play and eject do when the unit is off. If one of those turns the unit on, then you could create macros for discrete on and off.
Another approach is to use IrPanels on the output of MakeHex and then test all 256 possible commands with the unit off to see which turn it on. Testing all 256 commands again with the unit on may also give interesting results. You can't be certain that's a safe thing to do (some devices can be damaged by sending undocumented commands to them) but this isn't the sort of device that has a high risk of such problems.
