Anyone stummbled across input discretes for Samsung LTN1785 LCD display ? The plasma codes do not work. Samsung tech support said they don't exist...(."Why would anyone need them" they said) Please say it isn't so........

i think you mean a LTP1745 and im #2 in line for discrete codes!!!

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but the first 8 of those TV's that we got in did not have discrete input selection. The power discretes work, just not the inputs. I ran all of the different codesets(all 256 codes each for device code 7, 7.7 and 9-just to be safe) and came up with a zero on the inputs. We eventually returned all 8 of them due to this reason and yes, Samsung is aware of the problem. You may want to try the Plasma codes and see if maybe the codes work in newer versions of the firmware.
