Hello there, need a techie soul to shed some light on my 2 day (unsuccessfull) crusade.

I am simply looking for the discrete commands for the pronto Neo to switch to AV1 and DVI for this TV. And, no I dont mead the code used to cycle through all the AVs.

In the manual there is a sheet that details the NEC codes for the TV. However im not very proficient with IR at all.

It explains that the discrete code for AV1 is Code(Hexa) 5AH
and the DVI is Code(Hexa) C6H

PLEASSE HELP! Dont know what the heck this means. If someone can figure this one out,can they please explain how to convert?

Thanks in advance.

Post a link to the manual. LG has them on line. You are missing the "custom code"

You could also scan that page and email it to me. I can generate pronto hex for you but right now it's a guessing game without seeing it.

Thank you so much for your help. The link: [Link: morodo.com]

starts on page 33. I havent been able to find anithing that mentions a custom code, however it all looks like chinese to me.

If it´s not to much to ask can you briefly explain how you convert it?

Thanks again.

Here they are in Pronto hex. IIUC there is some conversion utility to NEO. You were right there was no custom code (aka device code) listed. I have a fair amount of data on other LG HD displays including plasmas and all seem to use NEC1:device 4 and many of the commands are the same. So these should work.

You convert the hex to decimal (aka function code) and if you knew device and protocol (NEC1:device=4), then you could use MakeHex and generate the commands listed below. The top is the function numbers by functions from your manual. At the bottom are the commands you would only paste in the hex "0000 through 0E94" without quotations.

118 Discrete IR Code (Only 4:3 mode)
119 Discrete IR Code (Only 16:9 mode)
152 MULTIMEDIA
175 ARC (Zoom)
191 COMPONENT
196 POWER ON
197 POWER OFF
198 DVI
207 AV5
208 AV2
209 AV3
210 AV4
213 RGB
214 TV

WORKS LIKE A CHARM!!!! Thank you so much. My wife thanks you too since she doesnt have to bother cycling through the 6 input to change from SAT to DVD, when the kids are screaming for a disney movie. When you get a chance, could you also post the code for AV1. I switched the SAT to AV2 so not a problem, but someone might look for it one day.

Again thank you so much!!
