1. Just turn on the player, with the tray closed and empty!
2. Transmitt the IR-code. The player turns it self off.
=> Turn it on, it's finished!

Hello:

I need to convert the raw IR codes of the hack to hexa in order to try it with an HP 48G calculator.

After the conversion, I have found the following:

Header:
#C53A0000h
#C53A0067h
#C53A0000h
#C53A0044h

Sync:
#C53A0155h
#C53A00ACh
#C53A0015h

32 bits: C53A9966

End:
#C53A0404h

Sync:
#C53A0155h
#C53A00ACh
#C53A0015h

32 bits: F50AB54B

End:
#C53A0404h

It is quite strange, since all the buttons of the remote need C53A at the beginning, and not F50A. Is it right?

Thank you very much.

What's stranger is the check byte for the command part is off by one from a normal check byte.

But that whole F50AB54B matches what I see for the second 32 bits.

Maybe Pioneer intentionally made this signal violate some of the rules of the protocol structure (to keep people searching the command set from finding it or to make it harder to generate with some universal remotes).

Either that or there was some copy/paste error in getting the learned signal from the Pronto that learned it over to this forum.

I guess you'll know after you try it.
