I have recently found that the new gen of Sony devices, specifically the B65 SAT and Slv81 Vcr, do not work 100% with previous model IR codes, plus the Vcr does not accept discrete L 1 or L2 input codes. I tried all 3 sony code types.
The B65, some codes worked, but I found I had to capture the codes fresh from the remote to make the keypad work reliably. Luckily, the discrete ON/OFF still work. I have been told that these new SATs are being made by Hughes for Sony. Can anyone confirm this?
This is not good, as Hughes is notorious for lack of discrete codes.

I was curious, if anyone had run across this and found a workable solution?
