Got a new Phillips Cineos TV (55PL977), and am very happy, except for the interface. Really needs some discretes for:
On, Off, Tuner, AV1-6, SIDE, SUPERZOOM, WIDESCREEN

I have a MX-500 remote, with the IRCLONE-MX usb interface, so i think the only thing the software acepts are raw hex codes. Any help you guys can provide would be GREAT.

I think you shoul search this forum for "Philips TV" and try codes already found by other people and/or published by Philips, may be for older models.

Wow, Thanks for the quick reply... Fortunately, I just found some discrete codes for all of this actually ON the phillips web site. They were in the Pronto section (I'm kinda new to this customizable remote thing). They were in .pcf files, which i guess are for the Pronto NG, so I downloaded the ProntoEdit NG software, and can view the IR codes themselves.. I now have to figure out how to get them into my XM-500. Just another challenge!

Let me save you a couple of steps. AFAIK, IRClone will not translate database commands. The Philips TV's usuaualy use the RC5 Protocol and the database commands for that protocol start with 5000 ... instead of 0000 ... for the learned commands.

I have translated the commands from the Philips Pronto website for the XX PL 9773 (where XX is the screeen size) and then generated the learned format commands with John Fine's MakeHex.

The commands are in Protocol:device:function order and the Pronto hex commands are below.

RC5:0:057 A/V 2
RC5:0:061 OFF
RC5:0:063 ON
RC5:0:117 16:9 Subtitle
RC5:3:004 A/V 1
RC5:3:005 Side A/V
RC5:3:006 A/V 6
RC5:3:056 A/V 3
RC5:3:057 A/V 4
RC5:3:058 A/V 5
RC5:3:061 Auto Screen Fit
RC5:3:062 Movie Exp 16:9
RC5:3:072 Antenna
RC5:3:080 Movie Exp 14:9
RC5:3:116 16:9 Widescreen
RC5:3:117 4:3

Just curious, did the discrete CINEOS codes end up working for you?

Thanks,
Mike

9 Years later... lets see if these still work. Pronto is now pronto professional and costs money by itself and IR codes are now used as one more spam/online scam lure. Thank you for this, you may have just saved me
