Does anyone have the discreet codes for the Sony DAV-S300? It is the all-in-one unit (dvd,cd,tuner). Thanks in advance for any info!!!

Did you ever get any discrete codes for your DAV-S300. I was looking for codes to do On/Off and to select a specific input (eg. Video1/Video2/DVD...).
Thanks

I too am in search of power on/off discretes for this system. I have tried all of the codes for Sony devices but am unable to get anything. Please tell me this isn't a TOAD! Already found out that my Scientific Atlanta 2000 Cable box is a TOAD! Thanks for any help anyone can provide. Even a workaround would be great for discrete on/off.
Thanks!

Does this unit turn on when dvd play is pressed? I know some sony mini systems do, so this might work on this item as well. If this is the case, you might want to try a couple of things.
If it does turn on, I would guess the input would be set to DVD. You could incorporate this into your input discretes. One input press would get you to the next input past DVD. Two input presses, would get you to the next...and so forth. SO you know when you press dvd play, that is your starting point (DVD input), then macro from there.
As for power off. Do you always use the sony system? IE do you watch/listen to your TV through the system? If so, I would have my "power off" emit one power toggle. WHY!?!? Well, if you are watching/listening to something, the SOny system has no other choise but to turn off. If you do have a source that would be on with out the system (TV for examlpe), then your power off could be as follows: DVD play (turns system on, or makes sure it's on), then delay (about .2 secs), then toggle power.
I know this is hard to read/understand. Let me know if I can clarify anything, just let me know.

Thanks.
Yes, PLAY works for POWER ON! This is one great help!
Still, the followin "vital" functions are not working: 1. VOLUME 2. FUNCTION for swithching DVD, TUNER, VIDEO 1 (this is very important since I use the DAV-S300 for listening the TV through it.
By the way my universal remot is a Sony RM-V201.

Francisco

There is no discrete codes for the imnput selection on the DAV-S300. All I do for mine is turn it on using PLAY (this switches the player automatically to the DVD mode) I then program the correct number of presses on the FUNCTION button to select the input I need.
e.g.
DVD - PLAY delay 1 sec (needed to allow the player to 'boot' up!) DVD Function delay 0.1 sec DVD Function
This takes me to VIDEO 1 input which I use for watching TV also.
Also you can use the BAND button on the remote to automatically switch to TUNER.
I use the Power button as a discrete (sort of) off. Bit 'ugly' I'm afraid but it's the only way round it.
I'm using a Pronto by the way.
