|| Unfortunately my guess is that the first file
"PDP_Kaseikyo Codes.doc" is specifically for these
Plasma Displays and the second file "digital remocon_code.doc"
is a more generic listing of remote control codes.
It does specifically define what we call device
and sub-device

I am grasping at straws here trying to find the discrete component 1 and 2 codes for a Panasonic PT53wx52 for use with an MX700.

I clipped your post to contain what stuck out to me for my situation...when you say "digital remocon_code.doc"
is a more generic listing of remote control codes."
could those apply to my Set? I see component 1 and 2 listed, might those possibly work? If so, how do i get them into my MX700?
If not, do you have any suggestions? Perhaps i can call Panasonic regarding my set specifically. What # did you use, or do you have a direct contact that you would suggest speaking with?
Thanks
Brandon

Brandon and any others,
I have the codes for that set(CRT RPTV) in a pronto .ccf ready to use. I will upload it here, but it will take a few days, e-mail me if you would like it.

You did better than I did - Panasonic told me that they don't exist and that they don't make them! That was from a so called .... expert. It's not as if you can use them for world domination or anything lol

Jason sent me the codes, and even converted them to an .mxf format so i could just import them with MXeditor. They worked like a charm.
Thanks !

If I have to use the radio shack remote to enter discrete codes into the MX-500

which three digit code do I use on the radio shack for getting "PC Input" for the 6UY plasma ?

Setup code TV_0250, EFC 007 (EFC = Advanced Codes)is what is equivalent to the PC input command (Panasonic:128.0:122) that I posted earlier.

I have no idea if that will work for your exact model, it probably will. BTW, a three digit EFC is meaningless without the setup code.

Does anyone know if the panny plasmas (6uy) have discrete code for turning on/off screen saver?

I have a panny TH-42PA20 that I'm trying to get discrete codes for. I managed to find Power on, off and PC Input on remotecentral and they work fine. I'm just looking for one more code that will switch it to AV1. To do this without a discrete code you first have to make sure you are in AV mode rather than TV mode and then press any coloured key followed by the red key. I'd like to paste the discrete code into my USB-UIRT settings in Girder. If anyone knows the code I'd really appreciate it.

<-T-><-T-> <-T-><----3T---->
1.4 Trailer <-T->
<--------------------------172T------------------>
1.5 IR Codes for PA20 and PX20 series and new plasma
Custom Code Data Code
1.POWER ON 800 3D
2.POWER OFF 800 3D
3.TV/VIDEO 800 05
4.ASPECT 804 DE
5.INPUT 1 800 01
6.INPUT 2 800 02
7.INPUT 3 800 03

Can you scan the original document and email it to me. I can translate it, but usually there are some important details that get left out in an ASCII translation.
