Jason, do you have these codes in a Pronto .ccf file?
I don't have a Pronto but the Universal Browser in MX Editor works good for me so far. Thanks

George,

Here is the link to the .ccf that is here on Remote Central.
[Link: remotecentral.com]

This is the same .ccf file I have and all of the codes have been tested and work great. These are "Clean" generated codes courtesy of MakeHex not "learned" codes.

If you have any other questions, please let me know.

Jason

This may sound dumb but I have no idea how to enter discrete codes to get them to work. Could somebody explain this to me. I'm programming an MX-700 remote and I have a Samsung 50" DLP but can't remember the exact model #. Does this really make a difference? Can you please help me? Thanks!

Try this link:

[Link: remotecentral.com]

This is the .mxf file for all of the Samsung DLP tv s. Test this file by itself to make sure your TV supports the discrete codes. If it works, you can incoporate the codes from this file into your remote and use them wherever you need them.

The power codes will only work
on firmware 209 and newer, and the input commands
will work on ONLY the Samsung modified sets with
firmware 214 or higher."

How do you find out what firmware version you have? Can we assume that new sets have the firmware? What does it take to have the firmware upgraded? Do the new sets have firmware 214?

Sorry in advance if this is posted already somewhere else.

With the TV on, press this sequence:
Power, mute, 1,8,2, Power. This will bring you up in the service menu. The firmware is the last three digits of the long number at the bottom of the screen. All of the sets shipping since September should have higher than version 214. To get out of the service menu, turn the TV off, then wait 15 seconds before turning it back on. If you don't know what you are doing, do NOT make any changes in the service menu. You can crash your TV.

Thank you Jason. I'll check it when I get home from work tonight. I bought the samsung in February, hopefully it has the latest firmware and I'll be able to use the codes you provided with my Pronto3k.

many thanks, Jim

You have just pointed out that I haven't uploaded the .pcf version of the Samsung HLN file yet. In the interim: you can e-mail me and I'll send you the 7000 file which you can "merge" into you file, or you can download the .ccf(older Pronto file) [Link: remotecentral.com] , and then go to "Import .ccf) in ProntoPro edit and save the .ccf as a .pcf to merge into you file. Once you have the .pcf version, open your file that you are creating for your TSU-7000, then, under the "File" tab, go to "merge configuration". This will let you add a file to your existing file. Once the Merge process is complete, move all of the new panels (there should be 3) to a new device labelled TV Codes, and then when you are programming your remote and need to use one of the codes, you can "Create Link" to any of the codes in that device.
