Have you tried the Sony discretes listed in the files section of this site?

Although listed for regular TV's, most manufacturers use the same codes on similar devices.

The remote for that unit actually has separate on/off functions. And the sony tv's on/off does work for that plasma.

I cannot locate the discrete codes for this Sony unit? KV42TS1 16:9 Plasma TV. Sony tech support would not give them to me.

This might be a long shot but try using the Fujitsu discrete On/Off and I use a workaround (from Ofer Loer) on my Fujitsu for the inputs.

The reason they might work is the fact that Sony use the same components as the Fujitsu units.

I've emailed you a CCF containing the discrete On/Off and workarounds (under the 'discrete' panel)

Let me know if it works

Hope this helps

Marc

There is a Sony plasma display in the files section

[Link: remotecentral.com]

with discrete codes. It uses three device codes:
Sony12 Device 1 the main Sony TV code
Sony15 Device 164 the Usual TV secondary code
Sony15 Device 119 (command 124=On, 125=Off)and a few others.

HTH,

Jon
