I usually (mostly for my wife) hold off for a month or so to see what issues pop up. Remember, there are always some issues that the beta team didn't catch!!

Did my home/office yesterday. Doing a client system now, but really only because of some existing issues on 2.6 and hoping that 2.7 fixes them.

Yes, I never liked the latency in the remotes button press vs command sent. This is a nice improvement!

Agreed. 2.7 is very nice. IP control of Directv, AppleTV, and Marantz is silky smooth. System is impressive overall. The only latency I have seen so far is for channel macros. I wonder why it takes so long to start the commands.

This is my first C4 system, and is in my home, so far VERY impressed.
I love supporting product that supports me!

C4 has had time to really become a polished solution. Once consumers see the value, it sells itself....Trust me, it HASNT always been like this.

No kidding! I started messing with it when 1.3 had just been released!

Are you guys using their intercom feature? Now that one was super-fast when I saw it at ISE.

Also, what do you think of the new touchscreen?

Our PO went in the day of and so far :
We have the new larger Wall Mount Controller installed. Works as advertised.
We also have gotten both new hand-held remotes in ( with and without words on the remote- called "icon" )

The rest of the new C4 SKUs are enroute!

Getting ready to pull the trigger on some gear for my house. Thinking HC250, but I do not think I can leave that much performance on the table and will end up with an 800, though it is likely overkill somewhat. For starters, it will just be a TV remote and SONOS control. I intend to install lighting control next, but may go towards Ra2 vs. C4. We will see. I want the 10" in-wall with the wall smart kit. Looks classy! The new tstat will go in as well.

The 250 i plenty fast for that but if you intend on growing you might as well get the 800 to start with

What I am not sure about is how the processing power/speed effects the speed or "snappiness" of the UI (something that has always been a slight annoyance to me...no customer complaints though), not only on the navigator/TS UI, but the mobile apps as well (which will be effected more so probably by the mobile device processing). I realize C4 says the 800 has 4x the processing power as the 250. But does that equate to "faster" or just "more stuff"?

In my case, we are talking a single zone of AV with on screen navigator, a possibility of adding a second A/V zone without on screen navigator, 4-6 SONOS zones...(or HEOS), lighting control of 20 or less loads. A single in-wall TS, 1 single tstat. Future possibilities are 1 or 2 IP cameras, irrigation control, security integration, and garage door control. Still well within the realm of a single HC250 I think. The question is whether an 800 will make a noticeable difference in regards to the speed of the navigators.

The cost is double. I do not expect the performance to be double, but if it were 15 or 20% faster, I would probably lean towards the 800, although I foresee new hardware again within the next 3 years, and upgrading is always in the forecast anyway. So HC250 it might be for now.

i dont think youll see a huge difference if you are using the T3 TS or the mobile apps as they are running their own CPUs for the UI etc. If you were using the on screen id say its possible but even then not really. (I dont even use the on screen anymore)

PS i hope the irrigation controller is an Irrigation Caddy W1_HA :)

Love the faster response-the lag always bugged me. The new remote is great too - would be nice to have a step up remote-wise that could show cameras and such....
