Any one controlled the Jandy RS with serial adapter sending Ascii text streams?? Going after control of lights and waterfall only, not heat.

I have controlled them with Crestron, here are the 232 codes:
Aux 1 toggle "#AUX1" and aux 2 is "#AUX2" and so on up to 7, you just need to test these until you find the auxillaries you need. There are a lot of other codes you can find in the manual from jandy.

You can also use Hyperterminal just too make sure you are connected. I have use the aqualink a good bit. Make sure you use a decent surge protector!

are you refering to the AC power sure protector or surge protector on low voltage connections to pumps etc.

Am playing around with a Pentar system (Owned by Jandy) right now with control from Elan. The pool company keeps failing to give me important info on the system such as oh yea, you must have the heaters manualy turned up all the way to 104 before you take over the system, or even better, when the system kept going off after less than a day under automation control, oh yea, I think the system will only run in auto for 23h 59m, then it resets itself. Nice to know when you are attempting to control an outdoor pool in the middle of winter! I am going to talk with their automation specialist tomorrow to go thru the resetting so that it will stay on auto until manualy turned off. Their is nothing in their protocol or any of their info that lets you know this.
