Have a customer with a Pio PDP5041HD (they supplied it, we installed it) it will not power on. They live in BFE so I have not had a chance to go out there to check it out (they are pretty technical and have tried all the turn on tricks) Curious if the main panel will turn on if the media box is turned off, unplugged from the power, or unplugged from the TV?

We ususlly use the CMX pioneers so not exactly sure of the details with this unit.

Thanks in advance.

My handle is Tweety but I have nothing to do with the organization of similar name. I just had a really big head as a child so folks called me tweety bird.

The monitor recieves power but if anything has happened to power at the head-end there would be no picture. This would make it look like it is off to the client.

The IR eye is on the monitor.

I can't tell you the model because the client provided it, but one client's unit froze up OFF. When we got it fixed, we found that when power is removed, the two units have to be plugged in in a particular order or the system wouldn't power on. I hope that is in the list of tricks they tried.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

I'm pretty sure the panel will power up if the umbilical is unplugged, and will display flashing green and red boxes in the middle of the display indicating that it's disconnected from the mother ship. A simple unplug/replug should reset anything, and if it doesn't there's probably something wrong.

Good luck

The LED will flash red and green only if it dosen't see the media box.
