The fix should be easy. The IR window comes out very easily when you open up the remote. I had to replace one that a dog got ahold of.

Aren't the IR windows on the T2+ and the T1 the same? (Never compared them)

Just got my replacement bezels from RTI direct yesterday. Popped it right in after removing the screws on the back of the remote(the 4 closest to the bezel) without having to remove the screws on the charging end. Works just like normal.

I just confirmed this with RTI - they are working on a supply of replacment bezels and it appears to be a defect in the manufacture of the bezel. Some of them are fine and some aren't. So use all RF if possible.

I would not be so quick to throw URC under the bus. They are making great changes in the way they do business (Better for us CI guys) and have some pretty great products coming out. For all of you who have been doing this for a while let's not forget the growing pains RTI went through with the original T2!!! Many failures ,poor RF, defective screens etc... and almost put them out of business completly. They are both good companys. Sometimes things happen that are beyond control. As long as they get fixed, no harm no foul.

I have played with a few UC product and I have just not been very impressed. I had a client offer me and my tech a couple of 850's I think (aeros). Neither one of us were interested. I also played with a 650 and well, just not my cup o tea.

The (I believe??) Mx 3000 looks like Mr. Spock should be holding the remote.

I am glad I missed the T2 growing pains, or I probably would have a very different feeling. But I didn't and I am vey happy with the dirrection I have chosen.

Have they fixed the E-bay bug yet? Maybe the next firmware update will take care of it? :-)
No, I wont install your plasma with an orange extension cord hanging down the wall.

Have you read any of the train wreck thread in the URC forum. When things look bad I just go over there for a quick laugh. I think big papa's full time job is just to mess woth some of these guys, or he is on URC's payroll. lol

It definitely effects the t2+! I was setting one up temporarily and was planing on using just IR until the rack was finished in the basement. Having never used one strictly IR I thought it was just a weak IR product. You literally had to point the remote exactly at the IR window on the cable box and Directly at the TV. I just thought they were not very good ir remotes.
