Has anyone found a permanent fix for the side door latching problem? We have determined that if you take the door apart, you can tighten one screw, and it works for a while, but then works it's way loose again. Taking the door apart is no 2 minute endeavor, either.
Just wondering...

Oh sure, all the previous threads talk these up like they're the end-all be-all of install wagons...
I go out and invest in (2) of these bad boys. That's right, we're so cool, check us out , that's how we roll...
NOW, 30 days later, they're complete POS's that spew various fluids eveywhere, the doors fall off, the tranny has somewhere between 1-3/8ths to 7-5/16th gears depending on it's mood, poltergeist engineered doorlocks etc.
Bastards.
(Actually the first one has been flawless so far, the second one is 2 days old with 10 miles on it. Not much of a track record yet. We'll see.)

Ill try and sport some pics of ours sometime. Its cool to see how others lay out their vans....ours is pretty slick....at least for me. I just wish we had the high roof so I could stand in it.

Just hire some shorter employees!! No, I actually feel the same way...but I had a garage built with a 9' door for the regular sized sprinter, so to have it built for the high roof would've created more problems. We really like the sprinter as well...have the 140 with a standard roof. Mileage is awesome, and I believe it will even burn bio-diesel. We have it configured with open shevles for plastic bins on one side and a stand and etrac straps for transporting TVs. I'll upload some pictures as well in the next few days.

I used one in Florida and had no problems for the 45k miles I had it. Immediately changed the oil to 0W 30 synthetic Mobile 1 and mileage went up some more. Around 500 to 550 per tank. I like to change brakes myself, but the sprinter has those crazy wear detectors that make changing the brakes challenging. It also took 3 trips to the dealer to get the right brakes. They admitted that they didnt have a clue which brakes fit because there were 4 different ones that could be on it. It also burnt out the AC fan switch resistor, replaced for free by dodge.
I becam a manager and no longer needed the sprinter. I sure do miss her and if I ever do install again, Ill get another one.

Oh and the dealership is 2 miles from my office and they get any parts in 24 hours or less and they are cheap. 85k and never a mechanical repair.
