every projector has a projector offset.... that means
difference in projector height to screen height....

using keystone adjustments mean you most likely did not
hang the projector properly....

What you mean is projector height offset = keystone adjustment (as well as another for side to side), right?

My question was, how adversely should I expect the pic to crap out by using the keystoning? The guy really wants to bury the pj in the soffet rather than have it dangle below.

Thanks Netarc, the manual only gives a dead on, no margin for height (And, of course keystoning should create a margin).
Manuals?! We don't need no stinking manuals! a.. er..

Make sure (I know, I don't need to tell YOU this), but provide plenty of ventillation and don't block the fan exhaust :)

On the AVS forum a guy was bitching about replacing his lamp every 3 months... obviously either had a blocked fan input or exhaust scene going on!!!

My ex's projector was shutting off--- dust bunnies!!! Vacummed it out... works like a charm.
