Can anyone recomend a 2D cad program for me to do some simply design with? Like floor and wall plans. Im looking for a replacment to the old papper and ruler thing, and scale is importain...

I have somthing that does floor planes, but im lookin gfor something i can do walls with. I have carpentars asking for dimessions and drawings of my screen wall. I need somthing to draw in the screen, speakers openings, drapes, sofits, ect..

?. Something that does floor plans should be able to do elevations. You may want to take a look at Microsoft Visio which has a very easy learning curve, is also excellent for wiring diagrams and can also import most AutoCAD drawing if needed.

The 3D does elevations as well as floorplans.
