has anyone else had this conflict between these two codes. When i press vol down it sends out the code for DVD capter down. I looked at the two codes in pronto edit and they are very similar. Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem.

Are you sending out the codes with a learning remote that you've learned those codes into? If so you could try to relearn and see if you could capture a "cleaner" code.
