Hi, Im brand new to this site, and found it while researching RF remotes to be used in an indoor sports ground.

Basically I am wanting to install a PC per zone (4 in total) that are all in the same building.

In each zone there is to be a referee that is controlling a game of indoor soccer or netball (similar to basketball) and the referee has an RF remote of some sort. The remote is used to update the score of each team during the game, via the use of an RF receiver that is connected to the PC at that zone.

What I am asking is what is the best commerically available option in terms of simple RF remotes and transmitters. The remotes must have 6 buttons while the transmitter should connect to the PC with either a serial or USB interface. Linux Software support is handy but not essential.

Since the 4 zones are all quite close to each other, there also needs to be no interference with the remotes in order for the remotes to transmit properly.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Thanks,
Andrew Thompson
