I am having trouble with a panasonic microwave triggering the power on command for an electrohome projector which uses their high frequency signal set. Any suggestions? jmm

New microwave? :-) Sounds interesting though that it creates that EXACT signal!

JMM, I have a suggestion: Keep a bag of popcorn in the microwave oven, hot and ready just as the credits roll! (*_*) Larry www.fineelectricco.com

If you can get the coffee maker to make coffee and the washing machine to do the laundry I will get rid of my wife.

Probably the cheapest solution would be to replace the microwave, but if you dont want to do that you could add an IR switchable outlet like the Xantech AC-1 or the AC-2 which also has video sensing.

It's such a fine line between stupid, and clever. |

Thanks for the thoughts and insight into some of your personal problems. I am going to try putting an rf receiver on the projector lift and masking the projector's ir window, should work but I was hoping for some easier solution. Cant't replace the microwave becuse it is built in to a zillion dollar combination unit. Zinon, I am impressed that your wife still does the laundry and Larry, I will need to get a longer cridit roll so that the popcorn is ready for the opening scene. Have fun! jmm
