I have been searching high and low for any websites that have home cinema setups based around a floor plan.
I am moving into my first home and want an ideal setup for my equipment. The trouble is, until i have the money to convert the 'summerhouse to be' which is a perfect square room, i am to make do with an awkward shaped living room.

Craig, a square room would be an acoustic nightmare. So would a dimension of an exact multiple of another, such as 8 x 16.

You need to visit www.avsforum.com and visit (among other forums) the Home Theater Builder forum. If you go back over the last several years of posts you will find tons and tons of pictures of floorplans including tons of people with web sites documenting the entire construction process.
