Hi Guys,

Im running my Sky (Digital Cable) via S video to my Sony VPH W11 projector, and not to happy with the picture quality. I am routing my s-video monitor output on my AV8 Arcam Amplifer direct to the Projector, while the sat box goes into the amp.

It seems that the picture has lines through it, again this happens on my Xbox which is connected the same way. My DVD on component however is perfect, unfortunatly the sky box doesnt have component, even if it did, I cant run a RGB cable to the projector. Is there some sort of scaler available so that all of my s video connections from the amp could be fed to the projecter at a better quality?

Any advise would be appreciated.

Thanks

I am confused. You say that you are running your DVD player component to and it looks great but that you cant run an RGB cable to the projector. Are you talking about a VGA cable? If you already have a component cable to your projector then there is such a product if you are willing to spend around $3,500 or so. The native rate series from Faroudja is just what you are looking for [Link: faroudja.com]

How long is your S-Video cable? The recommended max length without a line amp is about 16ft.
