component vidieo question

customer has a denon 1082 avr with a dvdr connected to it via component video. out of the reciever to fuzitsu plasma via component video and svideo for on screen programming. all was well until dish was installed and connected to reciever via svideo. now the component video from the dvd doesnt work. any ideas?

It's hard to speculate why that output quit, unless there is a menu option that in a video sense 'mutes' the output that does not do the on-screen.

If I have lots of S inputs and only the single component input (DVD) then I usually just send that one direct to the monitor. Save a cable, save the switching and extra circuitry that the signal must pass through.....

Try unpluging the Svideo from the dish. The monitor may only Svideo OR Component NOT both.

You have to change the input to your television from s to component input.
