If you find anything out, I could sure use those codes as well. I need discrete power as well. Thanks.

From what I have seen in all the TV forums, there are no such codes for the Samsungs as far as descrete codes.

Samsung has become very aggressive in propelling their brand and intends to become a major competitor with the other primary A/V brands. I hope they are getting some feedback about the lack of discrete codes, since this seems to be the achiles heel for all of their products.

That's the other thing I have seen in the TV forums, they are getting a LOT of feedback about the lack of descrete codes on their new DLP TVs. And not the kind they were wishing to see. A lot are pissed about it.

If you wish to view some of it, go here.

Rant to follow...

I've got a simple solution to help all the manufacturers "get it". Don't buy or spec any product that doesn't have discrete codes and make sure to let the manufacturers know every chance you get.

With all the good things that CEDIA has done, I consider this it's largest failure. The fact that after all these years CEDIA has not put together a simple set of protocols for all the manufacturers to follow is insane. CEDIA could have used their clout to solve this issue years ago.

That links no good, at least if you're trying to link to a specific thread.

It sure is, it gets you to the AVS forums, then you pick the forum you want.
In this case the "Rear Projection Units", forum. There are plenty of things going on there with the Samsungs. Just do a search for the last 30 days on Samsung in the rear projection forum area.
