You can file the worm bits no problem. Hole Hawg at rough is the only way to go.
Anyone notice that the new Hole Hawgs are weak. We run through them like crazy in our resi electrical dept.

My Dewalt right angle stud and joist drill is the way to go. She has been nicknamed Fat Bastard cuz if you are not careful she will throw you. When running the big self feed bits (1 1/2" - 3 1/2"), I run it at the 300 rpm setting. When running the auger bits, I run them at 1200 rpm. The other nice thing about this drill is its size. With the Hole Hawgs, if you hit a nail or a knot in the wood and it locks and kicks back your hand inevitably gets smashed into the stud. Not a pleasant expeirience, I've done it many times. Not with Fat Bastard. This drill is over 2' long, so if you do hit a nail, your hands are 2' apart and you have better control over this drill. As far as the bits themselves, I have had great luck with the Milwaukee bits for the self feeds and Irwin or Greenlee for the augers.
