Just finished a job with all Pioneer Elite equip, except for the Bell HD PVR. Equipment in a cabinet. Using the Pioneer SR links, the customer can point the remote at the plasma, and control all the pioneer gear. The satellite is the only issue. Normally I use RTI, but the client is a ferry ride away, and I went with a (cough) Harmony 880, so I could make prog changes without travelling.

Currently the sat receiver is visible to the remote, so its not an issue, but eventually they will be putting it behind a door.

Has anyone found any product, technique or combination that will allow for the Elite media box to pass standard IR to other gear? There is obviously some IR functionality used in the "G-LInk", which is the silly IR flasher for use with a VCR, controlled by the set's TV Guide.(which I don't use)

Polling for any ideas

I would contact Xantech about perhaps using their IR-SR link interface backwards somehow... I can't wrap my brain around it right now, but it seems to me it should be do-able. If not, you're stuck with an IR repeater, but you knew that...;]
