Gen X and Beyond Continue Gaming, Nintendo Recognizes -- Custom Dealers Must Play Too
[Link: cepro.com]

Interesting points made here about the age group for gamers. In some previous endevours I was heavily into full size arcade video games. I've met some people with some crazy collections, and once had my own garage filled with arcades.

Has anyone seen a resurgance of the 'game room' with pinballs, video arcades, or other? Any strange game/arcade requests that you could not fill?

I probably average 1 customer every 2 years who has pinball or video games in their house... I haven't noticed that average go up or down significantly since 1988.

I just met a potential client who works for a company that was spawned from Atari. he is going to show me a unit that is a Jukebox, Game Console and Fully Functioning Computer all at once. Shaped like a Full Sized Arcade machine it supposedly has the controls and layout for just about every classic Arcade game all in one. As soon as I find out more I will post details here.

There are many websites dedicated to MAME machines. mame srands for Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator. theaw cabinets run windows and the mame software will allow the one cabinet to play something like 4000 differant games. the only problem is you need a boatload of buttons to cover all the different games and marking them for what controls what for each game is difficult to say the least.

Ceied,

The 360 Wireless controllers may have enough range to work in the other rooms you have described, make sure that you register the controler each time-press and hold power on controller until the quarter ring is illuminated solid.

In terms of contolling the xbox 360 you can learn the codes of the multimedia remote and flash them thru the Suite 16 on that source ir output.

I would suggest considering, if possible, having a 360 at each location that you mentioned so that you can play multiplayer games room versus room without having to split the screen on the primary unit.

If you want to stick to the single xbox 360 I would download the software application from Microsoft that allows you to link to your home XP or Media Center computer in order to view family Photos in all the rooms mentioned .This is great for parties and you can also grab any of the music files from that same computer, in fact you can have both the photo slideshow and the music from your primary computer playing at the same time.
