Really is the bottom line isn't it. In a way, I wish it was as simple as putting up a store front and having clients throw money at me with new ones coming every day. I'm sure their side is rife with headaches as well.

The types of guys getting in to this make me wonder too. Yesterday I was looking at a new pre-wire and had spent over an hour and a half with the client... he started hurrying me up only to find out why as the next contractor showed up. Two guys who looked like they just got out of a crawlspace in dirty t-shirts and shorts with hats on... one smoking a cigarette... unshaven... unkempt hair. I know you can never judge a book by its cover but I hoped the customer would as I left with my set of sample design plans dressed in slacks and a polo. I think of how quickly I'd have been booted out of the store if I'd ever shown up for work like that. Another funny thing was the cement contractor on site... the lady of the house was there at our meeting and this guy is going on in the loudest voice imaginable with the most "f--k" laden story to his cohorts that I've ever heard. It's nice to know that my guys NEVER act like that on a jobsite (at least I hope they don't!)
